Do not attempt to get an RAR reader from a third party site. In other words don't type into google, .rar reader. I didn't want to buy the evaluation so i looked on another site offering the 'free rar reader'. First of all, it didn't give me any .rar reader, it gave me like a bunch of random software like Zumie, etc. Not only that but my anti-viruses discovered around 10-15 trojan viruses and ad-aware discovered 46 tracking cookies. If i hadn't had the mega powerful anti-viruses that i did have i would have gotten infected. So, if you want an .rar reader just settle for an evaluation or pay for it.
